ID & FD Fan

FD Fan

The FD fan creates positive pressure as it helps pushing the air in the systems. The systems could be anything from dust collecting machines to boilers to furnaces. Nevertheless, according to the machines, the fans function differently. For instance, in boiler or furnaces, the FD fans suck the fresh air from the outer atmospheres and bring them into the burner to induce the process of combusting.

ID Fan

The ID fans takes the air out of the systems and therefore they create the negative pressures in the systems. The hot flue gases from the machines such as boilers or furnaces are withdrawn by the ID fans and transferred into the outer atmosphere. This process is carried out through the use of chimney specially built for exhausting the air. ID fans are known for their high temperature flue gas as they use belts as functioning units.

Basically, centrifugal blowers are known as ID fans or FD fans based on their applications or in other words their utilization. Proper MOC and thickness of ID and FD fans impellers are selected based on the temperatures and the amount of dust present in the atmosphere

Indtherm Solutions offers ID and FD fan specially built for boiler application and these are made to run with higher efficiency.
